Tacoma rear seat dog platform

Within 24hrs of buying my 2016 Tacoma I removed the rear seats and started making a platform for my dog.

I used 3/4" plywood and outdoor carpet to put together a platform that provided plenty of room for the dog, while still allowing access to all storage compartments.

The bottom of the platform was bolted down to the original seat hardware, the rear panel was strapped to seat hooks using a bungee cord, and the front panel hung off the front seat headrests. Sliding bolts secured the two bottom pieces together.

With the platform built, I covered it in foam tiles and a rubber runner.

The dog approved!
